Ramen Shop from scratch
Although, compared to the past, as of December 2021 the level of competition in Ramen food service industry is already very high – sometimes equal to that of Sushi – it is still a relatively new field with many untapped opportunities in terms of business of operation, target customers, ingredients, menu selection, etc.
In light of this, there are many existing and prospecting food business entrepreneurs who are thinking of venturing into the Ramen world — but may not necessarily be equipped even with the basic knowledge of where and what to start their journey from.
This lack of expertise of every sort and situational awareness in general may apply to everything from basic things like understanding what exactly is Ramen to intricate details of noodle storage, sauce preparation or soup blending, or… many many other things that running a successful Ramen business requires.
To add to that, in some areas where noodle cuisine in general may not be as developed and popular as in other regions, it is not only Ramen businesses that are lacking proper Ramen education — it is the consumers themselves who, due to a sheer lack of familiarity and experience, may not be as perceptive to even high quality products and service as they would have in more Ramen-friendly areas, which would require Ramen businesses to educate not only themselves but their customers too.
On its part, aside from conducting Ramen schools (both in-person, and from just recently – >online< too), Yamato has been offering a series of free >online classes and workshops< dedicated to various aspects of Ramen cuisine and Ramen business operation.

As part of this commitment to Ramen education, on January 7, 2022, Yamato offers a free online workshop titled “Ramen Shop from Scratch”, dedicated to providing a comprehensive overview of essential information, skills, implements and competences necessary to start and run a standard Ramen shop.
